With the ultimate goal of fostering compassion and thriving in the workplace, Maria brings a set of diverse skills to leadership development and coaching. After progressing through various technical and leadership roles in the Information Technology industry, Maria’s passion to learn more about leadership drove her to complete her M.A. in Leadership and the Certified Executive Coaching program, both from Royal Roads University. Maria is currently a doctoral candidate at Royal Roads University and is researching how leadership can foster thriving in I.T. professionals.

Maria has been a leader in corporate and public organizations over the span of her career, and now works as a consultant to create programs that help foster personal and collective thriving in organizations. In addition, Maria teaches leadership to graduate students at Royal Roads University and allows her academic persona to shine through by speaking at conferences and writing academic publications.

To recharge, Maria enjoys collecting limited edition fountain pens, traveling, searching for the perfect latte, and reading mostly non-fiction.
